PREAMBLE 

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale govern the contractual relationship between the  establishment, Le Domaine de Monrecour, and any person making a booking for accommodation,  catering or related services. 

Any booking implies full and unconditional acceptance of these terms and conditions. 

The establishment reserves the right to amend these General Terms and Conditions at any time. The  applicable terms and conditions are those in force on the date of booking. 

1. BOOKINGS 

Bookings may be made: 

• Directly with the establishment, 

• Via the official website, 

• By telephone, 

• By email, 

• Or via approved partners. 

Any booking is considered firm following: 

• Written confirmation from the establishment,

• And provision of a valid bank guarantee or payment of a deposit. 

The establishment reserves the right to refuse any booking that does not provide the necessary  guarantees. 

2. RATES 

Rates are quoted in euros, inclusive of all taxes (TTC), excluding tourist tax. 

The tourist tax, where applicable, is charged as an additional charge in accordance with the current  rate set by the relevant local authority. 

Prices include only the services expressly mentioned at the time of booking. 

Rates may be changed at any time without notice. However, services will be invoiced on the basis of  the rates in force at the time of booking confirmation. 

3. PAYMENT TERMS 

Payments can be made by: 

• Credit card, 

• Bank transfer, 

• Cash, 

• ANCV holiday vouchers. 

The establishment may carry out a pre-authorisation on your card prior to your arrival. Unless otherwise stated: 

• Non-refundable offers must be paid for in full in advance, 

• Flexible offers are paid for on site upon departure. 

4. CANCELLATION POLICY  

The applicable cancellation and refund terms are specified at the time of booking and remain subject  to the mandatory legal provisions applicable to consumers.  

Complaints: Any complaints must be addressed to the establishment within a reasonable period  (maximum 30 days) to ensure they can be dealt with effectively.  

5. NO-SHOW 

If the guest fails to arrive without giving prior notice of cancellation in accordance with the terms and  conditions set out at the time of booking, the establishment may charge for all or part of the stay in  accordance with the pricing terms accepted at the time of booking. 

6. CANCELLATION OR REFUSAL OF BOOKINGS 

The establishment reserves the right to cancel or refuse a booking in the event of:

- fraud; 

- unauthorised use of a payment method; 

- information that is clearly incorrect; 

- inappropriate behaviour or behaviour that jeopardises safety, staff, other guests or the smooth  running of the establishment.  

Except in cases of force majeure, any cancellation attributable to the hotel will result in a refund of  the sums paid or the offer of an equivalent solution. 

7. FORCE MAJEURE CLAUSE 

Neither party shall be held liable for any failure to perform its obligations resulting from an event of  force majeure within the meaning of Article 1218 of the Civil Code.  

The following, in particular, are considered to be cases of force majeure: natural disasters, fires,  general strikes, pandemics, network outages, administrative decisions or any external event  preventing the normal performance of services. 

8. CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT 

Rooms are available to guests from 4.00 pm on the day of arrival. 

To ensure the comfort and quality of service for all our guests, rooms must be vacated by 11.00 am  on the day of departure. In the event of a significant delay beyond this time without the hotel’s prior  consent, additional charges corresponding to the loss incurred by the establishment may be applied.  

Where late vacating of the room prevents it from being made available to other guests or disrupts the  normal operation of the establishment, an additional night may be charged at the rate applicable on  the day in question. 

9. RESTAURANT 

The restaurant’s opening hours and menus are available at reception and on the website. For groups and private events: 

• A deposit may be required, 

• Special conditions may apply. 

Guests are asked to inform us of any allergies or dietary restrictions before placing an order. 

10. LIABILITY – PERSONAL BELONGINGS 

In accordance with the provisions of Articles 1952 et seq. of the Civil Code, the hotel may be held  liable in the event of loss, theft or damage to items left in the hotel under the conditions set out in  the applicable regulations.  

However, the hotel shall not be held liable: 

- in the event of fault, negligence or carelessness on the part of the guest;

- for property left unattended in communal areas; 

- for items left in vehicles parked in the hotel’s car parks; 

- in the event of force majeure or an external event beyond the hotel’s control.  Guests are advised to use the safe provided where available and not to leave valuables unattended 

11. DAMAGE CAUSED BY THE CUSTOMER 

The customer is liable for any damage to property or damage caused by themselves, their  companions, their guests or their pets on the premises.  

The establishment reserves the right to charge for any necessary repairs, deep cleaning or  replacements. 

12. PETS 

Pets are not permitted. 

13. PERSONAL DATA 

The information collected in connection with bookings, contact requests and our business  relationship is processed electronically for the following purposes: 

• Booking management; 

• Customer relationship management; 

• Invoicing and accounting; 

• And, where applicable, the sending of marketing information. 

The data collected is intended exclusively for Hôtel le Périgord and is neither sold nor transferred to  third parties without prior consent, unless required by law. 

Personal data is retained for the period strictly necessary for the purposes of processing and in  accordance with applicable legal obligations. 

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection  Act, the customer has the following rights regarding their personal data: 

• Right of access; 

• Right to rectification; 

• Right to erasure; 

• Right to object; 

• Right to restriction of processing; 

• Right to data portability.

The website may use cookies to enhance the user experience, compile visitor statistics or enable  certain features. Users can adjust their cookie preferences at any time via their browser settings. 

14. PHOTOGRAPHS AND DESCRIPTIONS 

The photographs shown on the website are for illustrative purposes only and are not contractually  binding.  

There may be minor differences in layout, décor or furnishings between rooms, without this affecting  the essential characteristics of the service booked. 

15. MEDIATION – DISPUTES 

In the event of a dispute, the customer is advised to contact the management of the establishment in  the first instance in order to seek an amicable solution. 

In accordance with the provisions of the Consumer Code, the customer may also seek the assistance  of a consumer mediator free of charge.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by French law. Any dispute shall be submitted to the  competent courts in accordance with the applicable legal provisions.
