The Domaine de Monrecour celebrates the Truffle Festival in Sarlat

At the beginning of each year, the medieval city of Sarlat-la-Canéda puts on its most beautiful finery to celebrate one of the most precious treasures of Périgord Noir: the black truffle, or Tuber melanosporum. On January 17 and 18, 2026, the city will vibrate to the rhythm of the Truffle Festival, an unmissable event for gastronomy lovers, local producers and Dordogne lovers.
